Record player needed! [Nov. 22nd, 2007|12:33 am]
record collectors

I'm looking to buy a record player for less than $100 that's in good condition and has good sound quality. I have a great one at home, but I'm looking for one for school that is either portable/contains speakers or can be hooked up to speakers and doesn't need to be connected to a stereo system. I've looked on ebay but at the moment I can't really find any that seem to be in very good condition. I'd buy a new/modern one, but the only portable kind I can find is Crosely and I've read enough bad reviews about them. Can anyone help or point me in the direction to find either a nice used one or better quality modern one?

Input on Writing up my 78 RPM Record Want List? [Jun. 21st, 2007|09:16 pm]

[mood |inquisitive]

Hi- I'm in the process of writing up my official "Want List" of 78's, since I haven't done that in around 20 years, and I was wondering if anyone would like to share theirs to use as an example of how best to write it up, categorize things, etc...
If this is not the correct forum for such an inquiry, I apologize, please forgive me, but if it's acceptable, would anyone like to either share their want list, or a portion of it, so I (and possibly other collectors) might use it as a reference tool? You never know, I might see you list and have something on it that you are looking for!
Any input on the subject is greatly appreciated, friends, thanks so much in advance.
